Braggin Rights

Can I just say that I am loving being a mommy.  And I say being because, as all you mothers know, it is a constant state of action.... and I do mean constant!  Don't get me wrong, I have always loved it, but this stage of my little man is so much fun.  From "helping" me around the house to attempting to repeat just about everything I say to his kisses... he is just a bundle of joy.  He loves to unload dishes from the dishwasher, he loves to put clothes from the washer into the dryer and slam the door shut, and he loves to throw trash away.  Oh, and the words.  I just thought to myself yesterday about how many different words it seemed like he learned overnight.  He really does try to say a lot of things.  My fave right now is papple.  That's what he calls an apple.  I love to hear him say it!  And the boy melts my heart when he grabs both sides of my face for kisses and nose smooching (there's a word for that, but I can't think of what it is).  Last night, daddy was putting him to bed, so when he heard "nite-nite", he ran into his room.  Well, I had not told him goodnight, so I said "come give mommy a nite nite kiss."  Running back into the living room, he came right over to me and kissed me.  How sweet!  I love that little man!!  Here he is in action.

Well, maybe not in action, but sound asleep. He looks comfy, huh?

Dancing

Eating celery, yes celery!

Found a better purpose for the basket in his room.

His famous look.  He has this look a lot.

Thanks for putting up with my bragging. I know all mother's think their child is the greatest. And the truth is, all children are the greatest. They are a precious gift from our Heavenly Father (even when they make us want to pluck out our hair). Enjoy them, love them, and show them how to love HIM!

Spring is in the air.

I can tell the days are getting longer, can't you?  It's exciting when I think about it.  I am admiring the beautiful sunshine right now.  Now, I am normally a winter kind of girl.  I love cold weather, snow, curling up under blankets, low humidity, and no sweat!  However, this has been a hard winter for us Georgians!  My skin can't possibly take any more cold weather without completely drying up.  In all the years I've lived in Georgia, I don't think it's ever been this cold.
I am officially ready for Spring in more than one way.  New life and growth are even better spiritually than literally.  Me and the hubby have been making some plans to change some things in our lives and get smack in the middle of God's will for our lives.  And that is exciting.  There is a fire burning that even Spring won't convince us to put out.  I hope to share some of this with you all along the way.  Not for any sort of gloating AT ALL, but for encouragement and accountability.  I trust y'all will understand that and know my heart with this.  I just want to share our experience as we experience it.  Let me stress that we, IN NO WAY, have everything figured out or do everything right.  We have trials to overcome daily, but we so desperately want to be in His will that we have realized some major changes that must take place.  We have to maintain a closer walk with God and some sacrificing of the things of this world is about to begin.  So, I know this is going to be a season of change and growth, and I can't wait!
It's no coincidence that I just started the Believing God bible study either.  And people I am learning that my unbelief is keeping me from experiencing Him!!  But right now, I BELIEVE some change is coming and some chains will be broken.  Hallelujah!  Amen!!

I know some family who are dying to see a pic of the little man.  He is so full of life these days.  He brings more joy than I ever thought possible.  Sometimes, I want to pull my hair out, but most days, he makes me laugh all day.  Now, he has started putting both hands on each side of my face and pulling it toward his so he can give me a kiss.  I love it!!!  I would do that a million times a day if he wanted to.  He is growing so fast and learning so much, it's hard to keep up with.

Here's a pic of him at Monkey Joe's.  He LOVED it and burned some energy for 2 solid hours.
