Eighteen Months

At 18 months...

You want all of the toys at the Dr.'s office.

You weigh 26 lbs 11.5 oz (62%)
You are 34 in tall (91%)
You have a big head! 50.5cm (99%)

Goldfish are an important part of your food pyramid.

No is not an important word in your vocabulary.

You make friends very easily.

It hit me today that you are really growing up Parker! And I thought to myself, am I really ready for this? The answer is no. What a stage we are getting into. You are the busiest little thing, you are so silly, and you make me want to cry and laugh at the same time sometimes. You love to go bye-bye. You beg to go everyday. Today we went to the doctor for your 18 month check-up. You even said "doctor" for the first time today. You made all sorts of animal sounds for her. For instance, you know what the cow says, the chicken, the duck, the kitty cat, and what the dog says. You had fun tearing up everything in the office you could get your little hands on. You LOVED the attention and flirted like you always do. And then the shots came... all changed after that. You were very brave, but it made you ill. Maybe the stickers and sucker made up for it?

Nonetheless, you are so fun to be around. You are strong and move fast. You literally pull me behind you most of the time. You are talking really well and learning new words everyday. I don't know what the future holds for you my little man, but I know it will be exciting. And mommy will start saying extra prayers for the months to come! You are such a delight!

Varsity & Coke

We've had a fun filled day in Atlanta today.  My in-laws are visiting, and we always try to do a little something with them while they are here.  Today we went to The World of Coke and ate at The Varsity.  Mmmm, yummy.  Not the healthiest thing to eat, but who cares about that!  Coke was fun, and we of course, drank Coke.  They have over 60 samples of Coke from around the world that you can sample.  Well, I am boring I guess because I stuck with the basics, but my hubby tried just about all of them.  Good thing I had some Goldfish stashed away to help with his nausea!  Parker even got to indulge in some of the fun.  He liked talking into his plastic cup more than drinking though.  My father-in-law is really into Coke memorabilia, so he loved it in there.  And you almost always have to eat at The Varsity when you go to Atlanta.  It's really not worth fighting traffic if you aren't going to indulge in their slaw dogs and onion rings!  Our meal was delicious.  Of course it probably didn't help that we were STARVING by the time we made it that long 5 miles or so from Coke.  The traffic is just insane.

On our way home, we stopped in Home Depot for the fellers to get some things for a little maintenance on the house, and I bought a few flowers to plant in my potters outside my garage.  I was proud of myself this time around.  I didn't have a panic attack from the overwhelming supply of flowers that I know nothing about.  I actually knew sort of what I wanted, found it, and purchased it all within like 15 minutes.  This is a HUGE accomplishment for me!  I will take some pics for y'all when I plant them tomorrow.

Parker had a blast today.  He loves going by-by, so he was just so happy all day.  That is, until we got home and he had to come inside!!  He does not like being indoors at home.  I don't know what we are going to do with him.  I think I have created a by-by monster!
